Growing up, my parents strongly encouraged my sister and I to get involved in the arts. I played the piano, was part of a singing group, while my sister was part of the same singing group, and also a local dance group. I recently rediscovered my love for the arts, and joined the Friends of New World Symphony.  Friends of New World Symphony promotes classical music to young music lovers, and philanthropists via education, community initiatives, and chic social events.

Last week, I attended Friends of New World Symphony’s Top Hats & Tinsel Holiday Party at Vizcaya Museum:

The next event I attended was New World Symphony’s Holiday Concert (Sounds of the Season) at the New World Center in Miami Beach. If I had to use two words to describe Sounds of the Season, they would be spectacular and nostalgic. Each performance gave me goosebumps, and transported me to joyful Christmas memories.

To commemorate my first major event with New World Sympony, I wore:
