Miami Design District & Art Installation Food Tour with Miami Culinary Tours

Food Tour, Food+ Drinks, Miami

The best way to experience a city is to walk it. So, when Miami Culinary Tours invited me to experience their newly launched Miami Design District Art Installation & Food Tour, I decided to be like a tourist for a day, to sample food at different Miami Design District restaurants, while also enjoying the art installations.

Their Miami Design District Tour is offered on Saturdays as a dinner tour from 5pm-7:30pm, and as a lunch tour on Sundays, from 12:15pm-2:45pm. We attended the dinner tour.

Highlights from our tour:

First Stop: Roch Market

The tour started off at Roch Market – a contemporary food hall with multiple vendors featuring different types of cuisines. While there, we sampled:

Falafel at Jaffa.
Two types of sushi rolls at Itamae
Pasta at Dal Plin. The pasta was served with a refreshing glass of wine.
Shrimp and pork roll at Tran An

Next stop: Abacco Wines

We had the opportunity to sample three wines.

Next Stop: Estefan Kitchen

We enjoyed pork, yucca mash and sweet planatains, and a glass of wine at Estefan Kitchen.

Next Stop: MadLab

We popped into MadLab to cleanse our palette with tasty treats.

Next Stop: La Pollita

Beef Taco

Last Stop: Aubi & Ramsa

The night ended in a sweet yet boozy fashion, with the Key Lime Martini. All of their ice cream is made with alcoholic beverages and spirits.

In between stuffing our faces, the architecture and art installations were delightful to see:

Our wonderful tour guide, Mirka.

The Miami Design District Food and Art Tour with Miami Culinary Tours was an enjoyable way to spend an evening. If you are visiting Miami, or would like to play a tourist for a day, check out their food tours. They also offers food tours of Little Havana, Wynwood, and Miami Beach.

Enjoy!
