Years ago, I had a first date with a tall, charming, handsome guy, Mr. K. He’s in his late thirties, and reminds me of a Richard Gere.
Neither of us is sure why we did not move forward with a second date years ago, but we were happy to reconnect. We both enjoy exploring restaurants. So, for our fourth date, we visited the unique, Miami Beach Italian restaurant -Pane e Vino.
I was invited by Pane e Vino’s restaurant manager, Luigi Volpe, to experience the restaurant. The reviews online were positive. The yelp reviewers spoke about their love for Pane e Vino’s delicious, fresh pasta, as well as the ability to look through the window and observe fresh pasta being made.
Welcome to Pane e Vino:
You have the option of outside seating. However, we chose to have a more intimate dining experience inside Pane e Vino, but not before taking some outfit photos:

We walked into Pane e Vino, and were greeted by a very warm, inviting, homey atmosphere:
It was entertaining to watch him make fresh pasta right in front of us. Passersby stopped by the window often to see his work of art.
One of my favorite dishes of the night was Carpaccio di salmone (Salmon Carpaccio).
Everyone turned heads to see the scooping of Spaghetti alla ruota: Specialty of Italy, with fresh tomato sauce, saute’ed and served in Parmesan crust
Parmigiana di melanzane (Eggplant parmesan):Layered baked Eggplant, prepared with mozzarella cheese, basil and tomato sauce
The winner of the night for me was the Capelletti Verdi with truffle–handmade green cappelletti pasta stuffed with fresh Ricotta and Mascarpone cheese, served with butter, Parmesan cheese and shaved black Truffle
In between courses, I took a sneak peek of Pane e Vino’s bathroom and saw:
Definitely not something I see everyday!

According to Trip Advisor, Pane e Vino is #3 of 745 Miami Beach restaurants. Pane e Vino also has my seal of approval for fresh, delicious pasta. If you’re looking for a new Italian restaurant with appetizing food, and a family style intimate atmosphere, check out Pane e Vino! Buon appetito!
