The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens Review: Suite Life in St. Augustine

Hotels, Road Trips, St. Augustine, Travel

I was truly excited to visit St. Augustine for the first time!

St Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied city in the U.S., and is known for its Spanish architecture, and lots of historical sites to explore. My first stop was The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens.

In collaboration with The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens, I stayed there complimentary for two nights and was given $20 in Uber credit as well as 2 tickets for two craft cocktails at their bar – The Well Bar! This is part of their #HitUpTheTown promo offers.

The Collector Inn has several promotions happening right now, but anyone wanting to stay there, can take advantage of their wonderful #HitUpTheTown offer:

  • 10% OFF Best Available Rate
  • $20 Uber Credit
  • 2 Craft Cocktails at The Well Bar

The Location

The Collector Inn is located right within the historic block in St. Augustine, so both restaurants and attractions were within walking distance.

Nearby attractions that are easy to walk to include Flagler College, The Lightner Museum, San Sebastian Winery, St. Augustine Distillery, The Colonial Quarter, and Castillo de San Marcos (St. Augustine travel guide blog post coming soon!).

The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens in St. Augustine is just about a 4.5 hour drive from Miami, and is perfect for a weekend getaway!

Driving up from Miami to St. Augustine was a smooth and easy drive on I-95.

Short Description of The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens

The Collector Inn is a stylish 4-star hotel located in the historic district of St. Augustine. It sits on an acre of land with nine late 18th-century buildings, with a total of thirty guestrooms. The property is visually appealing with it’s lush, landscaped courtyard, rooms with coquina walls, hardwood floors, granite kitchenettes, elegant bathrooms with subway tiles, and period furnishings.

Check-In and Interior

Immediately upon arrival (by car), the concierge warmly greeted us, grabbed our bags, my car keys, and escorted us to the check-in area. He also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants in St. Augustine area (blog post on that coming soon!).

The lady at the receptionist desk was also very helpful in getting us checked in to the hotel, and gave us all the details we needed to know to enjoy our stay there.

I was also given a warm personal note welcoming me to The Collector Inn.

The Room – Emerson King Veranda Suite

We stayed in the very spacious Emerson King Veranda Suite. Our room featured a comfortable king bed, kitchenette,  a tiled walk-in shower with many windows, two monogrammed bath robes.

The first word that comes to mind with the details of this room is majestic.

This what you get when booking an Emerson King Veranda Suite

The Bed

Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. I have to say that I dreamed quite a bit while staying here!

Every morning our beds were made and I looked forward to the daily turndown service which included fluffing our pillows, getting our bed ready for bedtime, and chocolates!

The Wi-Fi

Wifi was complimentary with the Emerson King Veranda Suite, and was definitely fast enough to watch YouTube videos, upload photos on Instagram, and browsing the internet.

The Bathroom

Similar to the our room and sitting area, the bathroom was very spacious. I absolutely enjoyed showering in the walk-in shower, with the rainwater showerheads!

There were plenty of towels available and lots of space to spread out your bathroom toiletries.

A selection of amenities were included such as hand soap, mouthwash, mending kit, lotion, as well as body washes for taking a shower.

Although, there is no restaurant onsite, The Collector Inn has plans to offer a local service that will deliver from restaurants, to your guest room.

The Well Bar

The Well Bar was a popular place amongst guests, and was the place to drop by for craft cocktails and tasty appetizers. As a reminder, if you select the #HitUpTheTown Collector Inn promo package, one of the offers is to get two complimentary craft cocktails at The Well Bar!

The Pool

We had a clear view of the pool from our room. The pool looked great both during the day and night, and was a very popular spot for hotel guests.

Amenity Fee:

As mentiond, there is a $35/night amenity fee that includes valet parking, property history tours (3x week), wifi, heated pool access, turndown service, bicycles, lawn games, access to online magazines & newspapers, and afternoon snacks and bottled spring water.

The staff and service at The Collector Inn was truly exceptional. Everyone was genuinely pleasant and helpful.

Final Verdict

The Collector Luxury Inn and Gardens is a comfortable, modern and updated place to stay in St. Augustine.

The rooms are delightful, the staff is attentive, service exceptional, and its a prime location in St. Augustine, makes for a great place to explore the surrounding area.

I definitely recommend The Collector Inn if you’re looking for somewhere central to stay while visiting St. Augustine, while enjoying great comfort and luxurious amenities.
