Have you ever been to Butterfly World? Butterfly World is a three-acre butterfly park, and described as the largest in the world, by the owner, Ronald Boender. It’s about a 40-50 minute drive from Miami, and definitely worth a visit. Butterfly World is located in Coconut Creek, near Fort Lauderdale in the Tradewinds Park. While at Tradewinds park, not only can you enjoy a world of butterflies, but also nature and jogging trails, miniature golf, horseback riding, and more.
My trip to Butterfly World was nothing short of amazing, and definitely a place to add to your South Florida bucket list. Get ready for oohs and ahhs, as I share my experience in photos:

At our last stop, we viewed the lories and lorikeets. They are members of the parrot family, and were very colorful, lively, and friendly.
Some Facts about Butterfly World
- Did you know that the average life span of a butterfly in the aviary is about 14 days? In the wild, butterflies live for about 7 days.
- There are about 3000 butterflies on display, and over 150 species to see over the course of one year.
Butterfly World is a fantastic place to spend a serene and enchanting day. When you go to visit, I recommend planning to spend a few hours to a day there, as there is lots to see!
