Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a five-course champagne dinner in Wynwood; the launch event for a new monthly series “feast for the senses,” showcasing some of the most rare and sought after wines produced by prestigious winemakers from around the world.
This exquisite dinner party was presented by Etra Fine Art (Wynwood), Wine by the Bay (Downtown Miami), Ambassador for Henri Giraud, Michelle Brown, and Chef Daniele Cosmo. Lucky guests were treated to a culinary pairing of champagne and delicious bites, with a backdrop of contemporary art, and the soothing sounds of local classical guitarist – Federico Musgrove Stetson. Check out my photos for more details!
Guess who? Yours truly -just entering Etra Fine Art and getting snapped. I am wearing a Sweetly Scalloped Dress found here. I bought my floral pumps here. My quilted crossbody (I removed the straps that night) is from here. And looks like this with the straps:
Stefano Campanini of Wine by the Bay (our host!) and Michelle Brown, Ambassador for Henri Giraud
Scallops on a bed of radishes in wasabi cream, covered in caviar was paired with Henri Giraud Champagne Hommage
Terrine of foie gras with spiced bread, peaches and fresh berries, with a touch of pink peppercorn, paired with Henri Giraud Champagne Giraud Rose
Risotto in a soft smoked ricotta, covered with salmon tartare and black truffle and paired with Henri Giraud Champagne MV Fut de Chene.
Duck breast marinated in a port reduction served under different spicy fruits textures, paired with Henri Giraud Champagne Argonne 2002.
Dessert of mousse of pastry cream, yogurt, fresh berries and grilled bananas, paired with Henri Giraud Champagne Ratafia
My three favorite champagnes of the night were with courses 1, 4, and 5 :
Henri Giraud Champagne Hommage ($125),
Henri Giraud Champagne Argonne 2002 ($450), and
Henri Giraud Champagne Ratafia ($73)
We were serenaded by classical guitarist – Federico Musgrove Stetson and founding President and Executive Director of The Florida Guitar Foundation.
Guests came from all over for this wonderful night of champagne, art, and music, including model Alisa Pysareva & Dimitri Yurchenko flew in from Montreal, for the event.
What a great delightful night of champagne, food, laughs, music, and art! Stefano was a very hospitable host, and I look forward to more Wine by the Bay events! Check out upcoming Wine by the Bay Events for a fun and educational experience!
If you’re not necessarily looking for an actual event, but rather wanting to learn more about wine / attend a wine tasting, right now there is a Wine By the Bay deal to get a wine tasting class for two for $41 here.
Enjoy!
